Water Irrigation in the desert of UAE

TBOX is getting more and more popularity in the Middle East. Beside the usual telemetry applications like water, gas and electricity, TBOX is also targeting critical irrigation projects thanks to its advanced Internet features and industrial robustness. One recent application has been installed in the severe environment of the desert of the United Arab Emirates. With ambiant temperature reaching more than 50°C in Abu Dhabi, TBOX is performing the local automation of 65 water irrigation farms. TBOX is opening and closing solenoid valves according to a Central Control Station scheduling. Sophisticated local automation is achieved thanks to humidity sensors, farmer special requests, water credits they have and many other local informations.

Continuous logging of ambiant parameters (humidity, temperature, alarms, ...) are made at programmed intervals for periodic statistical reporting. Those reports are sent on a weekly basis to several email destinations. For maintenance purposes, any authorized personal can call the RTU by GSM communication to get on-line values, acknowledge the alarms or simply reprogram the RTU if needed. The embedded Web Server of the TBOX permits to display and control the outstation using a simple browser. Visualization of historical data and alarms are made on-line. Alarms are directly sent to each farmer's mobile but also to the SCADA center.

Connected to a solar panel, the TBOX can run without the need of dedicated power supply.
